Soybean harvest was a little slow this year as we had to fight green stems and wet beans early on. For a couple weeks we would do corn in the morning and beans in the afternoon after they dried off. Running two combines and working until 3 am. helped to get the beans off in the end. Overall we were very please with the way most of them yielded. Some fields did suffer from water damage but you will always have that. Special thanks to our neighbor Jim Spears for helping us again with soybean harvest this year.
About the worst breakdown we had during beans is the flighting on the lower auger of the graincart rolled up, once we had the parts we needed it was a quick fix.
